Amy Deneson has an extensive work experience in the marketing and advertising industry. In 2008, they began their career as the Product Marketing Director at Akamai Technologies, where they directed B2B marketing strategy and budget for ad tech solutions. Amy then moved on to become the Director of Marketing at acerno, where they led B2B go-to-market strategy for three ad tech solutions and directed a company rebrand. In 2013, they worked as a Marketing Consultant for Inbound Marketing. Amy then worked as the Senior Director of Product Marketing at ShareIQ in 2017 and the Director of Marketing and Sales at Curaleaf in 2018. In 2020, they Co-Founded Pheno, which offers industry-leading managed service for cannabinoid advertisers. In 2021, they Co-Founded the Cannabis Media Council, the first trade council dedicated to using the power of mainstream media to uplift wholehearted, people-centered advertising campaigns. Currently, they are the Chief Marketing Officer at House of Puff Inc. Additionally, they have been a Writer since 2010, with their essays appearing in the New York Times, The Guardian, Salon, The Brooklyn Rail, Bust, Toast, Curve magazine, and more.

Amy Deneson obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Rhetoric from the University of Minnesota between 1997 and 2001, with a field of study in Technical and Scientific Communication. Amy also studied English Literature at Lancaster University from 1998 to 1999 as part of a study abroad program. In 2017, they obtained a certification in The Age of Sustainable Development from the Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
