Karen Starns

Karen Starns has held various leadership positions throughout their career. Currently, they are the Chief Executive Officer of Houseful, an RBC Company, where they aim to help more Canadians on their home ownership journey. Additionally, they serve as a Member of the Board of Directors for Houseful.

In the past, Karen Starns has been an Executive Board Member of the Fast Company Executive Board, an invitation-only professional organization. Karen has also served on the Board of Directors for Miracle Foundation, an international nonprofit that supports vulnerable children.

Karen Starns has experience in academia as well, serving as the Chair of the McCombs Master of Science in Marketing Advisory Council at The University of Texas at Austin. Karen has also worked as a Lecturer, teaching Product and Brand Management at the McCombs School of Business.

Furthermore, Karen Starns has contributed to social enterprises and nonprofits. Karen has served as an Advisor to Cielo Hammocks and the Cielo Communities Foundation, focusing on poverty reduction and gender equality. Additionally, they have provided advisory services to SOSAI Renewable Energies Company.

Prior to their current roles, Karen Starns was the Chief Marketing Officer at OJO Labs, a technology-enabled real estate marketplace, where they achieved significant business growth and brand recognition. Karen also worked at Amazon, leading brand, marketing, and customer experience for Amazon Devices and Services, and at HMC Management, where they served as a Board Member and Treasurer for a non-profit homeowner's association.
