Kirsten O'Donoghue serves as a Panel Member at the Australian Financial Complaints Authority since March 2024 and as a Consultant at Housing Australia since May 2023, where duties include acting as Chief Risk Officer and Credit Committee Member. Previously, Kirsten held several key roles at Westpac, culminating in the position of Chief Risk Officer from January 2016 to August 2022, and earlier served as Head of Property Finance at St.George Bank from December 2012 to January 2016. Additional experience includes a tenure as Head of Credit Europe & America and Director of the Property Group at Westpac from January 2005 to December 2012. Kirsten holds a Master of Business Administration from UNSW, completed between 2006 and 2009, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Murdoch University, earned from 1991 to 1996.

Housing Australia is the independent national housing authority. We work with the private sector, community housing providers and all levels of government to facilitate and deliver programs that help more Australians to access social and affordable housing or to buy a home. The organisation was established in 2018 as the National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation (NHFIC) and became Housing Australia in October 2023.
