Matina Papathanasiou

Matina Papathanasiou serves as a Board Member at Housing Australia and at the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction on its Risk Reduction Investment Advisory Board since May 2023. Additionally, Matina holds the position of Non Executive Director at Powering Australian Renewables (PowAR) since July 2021 and previously served as a Non Executive Director at Hobart Airport until November 2023 and at the Port of Melbourne until November 2022. Matina was a Founding Partner at QIC from January 2006 to October 2023 and worked at AMP Capital as Director of Infrastructure from August 2000 to November 2005. A significant part of the career includes Senior Vice President for Infrastructure Advisory at Bankers Trust from 1996 to 2000 and Associate Director at Macquarie Group from 1989 to 1996. Early experience includes a role as Senior Associate at Capel Court Investment Bank between 1987 and 1989. Matina holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from UNSW and has pursued further education at the Australian Institute of Company Directors, The Wharton School, and Harvard Business School.
