Christie Alarcon

Christie Alarcon currently serves as the Director of Housing Management at the Housing Authority of San Luis Obispo, responsible for overseeing the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program and ensuring compliance with housing maintenance strategies. Prior to this role, Christie held the position of Community Development Director at the City of Lompoc, where responsibilities included managing various aspects of community development and providing support to division managers. Previous experience encompasses serving as the Director of Operations at GOOD SAMARITAN SHELTER and as a Grants Specialist in the City of Santa Maria Human Resources Division, focusing on grant management and homeless prevention programs. Christie also gained valuable leadership experience as a Katherine Harvey Fellow at the Santa Barbara Foundation. Education includes a Master of Public Administration from the University of La Verne, along with a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration from the same institution and an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration from Allan Hancock College.
