Nyjah Tauheed is a seasoned professional currently serving as Development Coordinator and Service Coordinator at the Housing Consortium of the East Bay since November 2020. Nyjah coordinates services for adults with developmental disabilities, facilitating case management and community engagement, while also supporting residents with financial and maintenance issues. Previously, as a Housing Specialist, Nyjah led outreach initiatives for homeless adults and maintained strong relationships with local landlords. Nyjah's earlier experience includes working as a Content Strategist at Lumenworks Lighting Design Inc., where responsibilities included creating digital content and analyzing market trends. Nyjah holds a Master's degree in International Relations and Affairs from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

HCEB’s mission is to create inclusive communities for individuals with developmental disabilities or other special needs through quality affordable housing in Alameda and Contra Costa County. HCEB fulfills our mission by providing programs and services for the unhoused; resident service coordination; developing and operating supportive housing and partnering with other developers to secure set-asides within larger rental communities.
