Joe Shanahan

Joe Shanahan is an experienced professional in government relations and media, currently serving as the National Manager of Government Relations and Media at the Housing Industry Association (HIA) since January 2018. Previously, Joe Shanahan held various advisory roles, including Adviser to Senator Matthew Canavan and Manager of Government Relations at the Stroke Foundation. Joe Shanahan also served as Media Adviser in the offices of multiple senators and was an Account Manager at Lighthouse Communications Group, where successful campaigns were executed for prestigious clients. Joe Shanahan began a career in journalism at AAP Wire Service, covering the Canberra Press Gallery, and holds a degree in journalism from Charles Sturt University.
