Michael McGowan

Michael McGowan is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the residential construction and development industry in Western Australia, currently serving as Executive Director at the Housing Industry Association since April 2019. Previously, Michael held key roles including Commercial Manager and Member Experience Manager at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia from March 2016 to April 2019, where the focus was on championing free enterprise. With a background in talent acquisition at Bankwest and recruitment consulting at HRX and Rio Tinto, Michael has developed a strong expertise in recruitment and business relationship management. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Physical and Health Science from The University of Western Australia, completed in 2003.
