Peter Wood

Peter Wood has extensive experience in the construction and housing industry, starting as a Housing Supervisor at AVJennings in 1989. Peter progressed to roles such as Maintenance and Service Team Leader and Client Services Officer before moving on to other companies where they held positions such as Manager of Contracts at Neumann Steel Pty Ltd and Construction Manager at Mirvac. Peter has also served as National Building Manager at Villa World and General Manager-Housing at AVID Property Group. Currently, Peter is the President of HIA (QLD) after previously holding the position of Vice President.

Peter Wood earned a Diploma of Building and Construction from Marymount College Gold Coast in 1979. Later, they attended Archaeus Institute from 2000 to 2002, where they became a Certified Developer of Entreprise. Lastly, in 2014-2015, they completed a Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety at the National Safety Council.
