Chad Platt currently serves as the Lead Case Manager at Housing Matters, where responsibilities include partnering with individuals and families to transition them from homelessness to permanent housing. Prior experience includes roles as Case Manager III at Housing Matters, Bay Area Regional Coordinator with California Youth Connection, Host Home Coordinator at Bill Wilson Center, Youth Mentor and Youth Advisory Board Facilitator at Encompass Community Services, and Housing Navigator at Housing For Health. Chad's career has focused on providing support and services to vulnerable populations, particularly youth in foster care and individuals experiencing homelessness. Educational accomplishments include studies at Cabrillo College from 2016 to 2019.

Formerly known as Homeless Services Center, Housing Matters is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the largest local organization addressing homelessness in Santa Cruz County. Our mission is to partner with individuals and families to create pathways out of homelessness into permanent housing. Donor contributions support our emergency shelter programs (including housing navigation and placement), personalized case management, day services with showers and bathrooms open to the public, on-site supportive services, and the construction of permanent supportive housing—now underway—for our unhoused neighbors most in need.
