Meulen Bajo has extensive experience in the field of counseling and health education, currently serving as the Sexual Assault Services Coordinator and Counselor at the Houston Area Women's Center since 2010. Prior positions include Health Educator at Catholic Charities of Arizona from August 2006 to May 2008 and Adjunct at Prescott College from August 2005 to May 2008. Meulen Bajo holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from Prescott College, earned between 2005 and 2008, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the Institute of Technology of Sonora, completed from 1997 to 2001.

Houston Area Women’s Center support survivors of domestic and sexual violence. They provide shelter, support, community education, training, hotlines, crisis intervention, counseling and advocacy, children's court, and hospital accompaniment services. They address inquiries through phone calls and emails.
