Remmele Young is the current Vice Chancellor of Public Information, Communications & External Affairs at Houston Community College. Remmele has been in this role since September 2019. From June 1990 to June 1998, they served as an elected County Commissioner in Fairfield County. And from January 1987 to June 1994, they worked as a computer consultant for SCANA Corporation.

Remmele Young's educational career began with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of South Carolina. Remmele then continued their education at Howard University, where they earned a degree in Political Science and Government. Young later attended the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law, where they earned their Doctor of Law degree. Finally, they completed a Management Development Program/Professional Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
