Sheldon Mattox MBA, RN, EMT-P has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Sheldon started their career at Coliseum Northside Hospital in 2009 as a Registered Nurse and worked in that role until 2015. At the hospital, they gained experience in advanced clinicals.

In 2015, Sheldon took on the role of Service Line Director for Surgery at Coliseum Northside Hospital. In this position, they were responsible for program development for spine, total joints, and bariatrics. Sheldon also worked towards obtaining disease specific certifications from The Joint Commission in Spine and total joints, as well as MBSQIP certification for Bariatrics. Sheldon held this position until 2017.

From 2017 to 2019, Sheldon served as the Administrative Director of Surgical Services, Bariatrics, and Wound Care Center at Coliseum Northside Hospital. In this role, they oversaw the daily operations of various departments, including surgical services, ENDO, day hospital, security, central sterile processing, food and nutrition services, plant operations, sleep lab, wound care center, and the Bariatric center. Sheldon also collaborated with reporting directors to develop strategic plans and goals.

After leaving Coliseum Northside Hospital, Sheldon joined Houston Healthcare in 2019 as the Ortho/Rehab Director. In this position, they took charge of the orthopedic and rehabilitation services. In May 2020, they transitioned into the role of Director for Post-surgical, Rehabilitation & Education Services.

Sheldon Mattox has a strong educational background with degrees in various fields. Sheldon obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Ohio Christian University in 2017. Prior to that, they achieved an Associate of Science degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Darton College. Additionally, Sheldon Mattox holds a Bachelor's degree in Ministry and Leadership from Ohio Christian University.
