Orlando Reyna has extensive experience in educational leadership within the Houston Independent School District. Currently serving as Principal at Stephen F. Austin High School and Sugar Grove Academy since June 2018, Orlando has a track record of improving underperforming schools. Previously, as Principal at James Madison High School from June 2011 to April 2018, Orlando led efforts to enhance school performance in a challenging demographic area, transforming a formerly rated Improvement Required campus. Orlando also served as Principal at an underperforming middle school, achieving notable improvements in state rankings and earning multiple distinctions. Early in the career, Orlando was an Assistant Principal at Albert Thomas Middle School, which faced similar challenges. Orlando holds a Master of Educational Leadership from Prairie View A&M University and has foundational education from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
