Donna Ramirez Ostermayer

Donna Ramirez Ostermayer is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in communications, particularly within academic and healthcare settings. Currently serving as Editorial Supervisor and Program Manager in External Relations at Houston Methodist since October 2020, Donna has excelled in translating complex scientific and medical information for diverse audiences. Prior to this role, Donna was a Science Writer/Editor at the University of Texas Medical Branch, where responsibilities included acting as the chief communications liaison to the scientific community. Donna's earlier career included various research and teaching positions at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Binghamton University, culminating in a Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience and a Master's degree in Psychology from Binghamton University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Biological Psychology from the University of Scranton.
