Marisol Belmares

Marisol Belmares has extensive experience in healthcare management, currently serving as Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab and Director of System Lab Business Operations at Houston Methodist since November 2014. In previous roles at Houston Methodist, Marisol has also held the position of Program Director for System Laboratory Business Services and Business Manager for the Division of Laboratory Medicine. Prior experience includes serving as Coordinator for the Cancer Program at CHI St. Luke's Health and Program Coordinator at MD Anderson Cancer Center for the Molecular Pathology Research Lab and the Brain Tumor Program. Marisol's career began in the US Army as an Electronics Intelligence Analyst and includes earlier roles at MD Anderson as a Senior Secretary and an IT Intern at Shell. Currently pursuing a Doctor's Degree in Health Care Administration/Management at Capella University, Marisol also holds an MBA from East Texas A&M University and a BS in Legal Studies from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
