Kristine Velez

Kristine Velez currently serves as a Development Officer for Fundraising Events at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, a position held since February 2023. Prior experience includes participation in the SCOPE Scholar program at Southwestern University, where archival research on the racial history of the institution was conducted. Kristine also held the role of Student Manager at The Office of Student Activities, overseeing event planning and execution in collaboration with leadership within the Student Life Department. As Diversity and Inclusion Chair for the Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity, Kristine facilitated discussions to enhance understanding of minority experiences in higher education. Additionally, experience as an Owner Relations Specialist at Oasis Petroleum involved managing customer relations and maintaining accurate records for land royalties. Kristine earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Southwestern University in 2022.
