Joe Vernon

Joseph Vernon is an accomplished business lawyer and commercial litigator with extensive experience in various legal disciplines. Currently serving as Special Advisor for Football Operations with the Houston Texans since February 2023, Joseph has been with Miller Canfield since October 2006, holding positions such as Of Counsel, Attorney, Senior Principal, and Resident Director. Specializing in complex commercial litigation, Joseph has handled a wide array of cases involving breach of contract, business tort, and intellectual property disputes in various courts across the United States. Additionally, Joseph contributed to legal education as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law from August 2011 to June 2015, teaching a core course in legal theory and analysis. Joseph's legal education includes dual Juris Doctor degrees from both the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and the University of Windsor, along with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University.
