Darris Jefferson Jr

Darris Jefferson Jr. has extensive experience in maritime operations, currently serving as a Pilot at Houston Pilots since August 2019 after holding the position of Deputy Pilot. Prior to this role, Darris worked at Kirby from April 2013 to August 2019 as a Pilot and Steersman, where responsibilities included route planning, crew communication, and barge crew management. Darris began the career at Kirby as a Deckhand/Tankerman Trainee before moving to G & H Towing Company as an Ordinary Seaman. Educational background includes a High School Diploma from Westside High School.
