Justin McKee has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the media industry. Justin started their career in 2002 at KBTX Media, where they worked as a Director, primarily handling live newscasts and directing special projects such as Aggie Gameday and the MDA Jerry Lewis Telethon. In 2009, they joined KHOU-TV as a Producer/Director, where they directed the live talk and variety show Great Day Houston and also edited show promotions and in-show segments using Avid editing software. In 2010, they moved to XI Media Productions as a Director, Shooter, and Editor, working on live event streaming, particularly live music events, for clients like NPR, Rolling Stone, and Fader. In 2014, they transitioned to Houston Public Media, first as a Senior Producer, Creative Services, and later as the Creative Services Manager, responsible for maintaining the company's brand and visual identity and overseeing a team of designers, producers, directors, editors, and writers. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Creative Services at Houston Public Media, continuously finding ways to engage more members of the Greater Houston community.

Justin McKee attended Sam Houston State University from 2004 to 2007, where they obtained their Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Justin'sfield of study was focused on Radio/Television production.
