Heyneke Meyer

Heyneke Meyer is an accomplished rugby coach and sports executive currently serving as the Director of Rugby for the Houston SaberCats Rugby since July 2021 and as the Managing Director at Invictus Sport and Entertainment since September 2020. With a notable career, Meyer has held prominent positions including the Head Coach of the Springboks from 2012 to 2015, where the team achieved a winning percentage of 68% and scored the second most tries globally during that period. Additionally, Meyer served as the Director of Rugby for the Blue Bulls, leading them to multiple championships, and has held coaching roles with organizations such as Leicester Tigers and Mauritius Asian Pacific Dragons. Meyer has a strong educational foundation with degrees in Sport Science, Psychology, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pretoria.
