Maura McCune Corvington

Substitute And Extra Horn at Houston Symphony

Maura McCune Corvington is a professional horn player and educator with extensive experience in orchestral performance and music instruction. Currently serving as the 2nd Horn for the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and an Adjunct Instructor of Horn at the Eastman School of Music, Maura also teaches in the Arts Leadership Program at Eastman's Institute for Music Leadership. Additional roles include Lecturer in Horn Studies at SUNY Geneseo, Instructor of Horn at the Eastman Community Music School, and Horn Mentor for the Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. Maura has performed with prestigious ensembles such as the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Houston Symphony, and has held academic positions, including Professor of Horn at Roberts Wesleyan College. Educational background includes a Master of Music from Rice University and a Bachelor of Music from the Eastman School of Music, both in Horn Performance.
