Mark Hoffman

Mark Hoffman, P.E. currently serves as the Sr. Director of Planning, Design, and Engineering at Houston Zoo since September 2017, having previously held the position of Director of Design and Engineering. Before joining Houston Zoo, Mark Hoffman worked at Walter P Moore from 2011 to September 2017, progressing from Graduate Engineer to Associate and eventually Team Director. Earlier experience includes a role as a Research Assistant in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Rice University and several positions at KTRU Rice Radio, the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy, and Web Services at Rice University, including Operations Director and Team Leader for Sustainability Assessment. Mark Hoffman holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Rice University, earned in 2011.
