Edward Lu has extensive experience in both executive leadership and scientific research. Currently serving as Executive Director of the B612 Foundation since 2002, Lu is also a Co-founder and CTO at LeoLabs, Inc. since 2016, and has been a Senior Advisor at Hover Inc. since 2011. Previously, Lu was the Chief of Innovative Applications at Liquid Robotics from 2011 to 2014 and worked as a Program Manager for Advanced Projects at Google from 2007 to 2010. An astronaut with NASA from 1995 to 2007, Lu also held positions as a Visiting Scientist at the Institute for Astronomy from 1992 to 1995 and at the High Altitude Observatory/Joint Institute for Laboratory Astrophysics from 1989 to 1992. Lu holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and a PhD in Applied Physics from Stanford University.
