Ana Balugas has work experience at two different companies. Ana worked at Hovione from September 2017 to present, initially as an In Process Control Analyst and currently as a Quality Control Team Lead. Their responsibilities at Hovione included performing various analyses, maintaining equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and issuing results in the LIMS system. Prior to this, they had an internship at Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa - FCT NOVA from May 2015 to September 2015, where they worked on a research and development project focused on the preparation and characterization of polymeric structures for wound care dressings.
Ana Balugas has a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal, which they completed from 2011 to 2015. Ana then pursued further education and obtained a Technical Degree in Occupational Health and Safety from Alamedas Office from 2016 to 2017. Currently, they are enrolled in a Master's program in Engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal, specializing in Biological and Chemical Engineering with a focus on Biotechnological Processes. Ana is expected to complete their Master's degree in 2022.
