Nuno Hélder Silva has a diverse work experience, starting in 2008 as a research grant recipient at CICECO - Aveiro Institute of Materials. Nuno Hélder then became a research fellow, focusing on the development of innovative biopolymers and biomaterials. In 2012, they worked as a soft-skills trainer for getSkilled and also joined Toastmasters International as a member, eventually becoming a past president and director. Beginning in 2017, Nuno collaborated with SONAE as a sports forum employee at SportZone. In 2019, they took on the role of technical director and communication manager at Virtuous Leadership Portugal, handling communication and management activities, organizing international webinars, and serving on the board. From 2011 to 2021, Nuno worked at CICECO - Aveiro Institute of Materials as a doctoral researcher, lecturer, post-doc research fellow, and phD student in chemical engineering. Nuno Hélder conducted research on biorefineries, developed bionanocomposites for biomedical applications, and published numerous scientific papers and presentations. Nuno's most recent role is as the lead analytical scientist in R&D drug product for Hovione, where they manage innovation activities and projects, develops analytical methods, coordinates with project managers, and prepares reports and protocols.
Nuno Hélder Silva has an Executive MBA degree from AESE Business School, which they obtained from 2023 to 2025. Nuno Hélder also holds a Bachelor and Master's degree in Biotechnology and Molecular Biotechnology from Universidade de Aveiro, completed from 2006 to 2010. In 2010, they pursued a Master Thesis in Molecular Biotechnology at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Nuno Hélder Silva further expanded their education by obtaining a Certificate in Pedagogic Competences (CCP) from Nova Etapa in 2012, specializing in Formation and Training system.
