Teresa Alves

Teresa Alves is an accomplished professional in the biopharmaceutical and industrial microbiology sectors, currently serving as Senior Director of Strategic Alliances and Senior Director of Biologics and Aseptic Processing at Hovione since October 2019. Previously, Teresa held key leadership roles including Managing Director and President of the Board of Directors at Cipan-Companhia Industrial Produtora de Antibióticos, SA, where tenure extended from November 2012 to September 2019. Additional experience includes serving as President of the Board of Directors at Laboratórios Atral, SA, and as CEO and Board Member at GenIbet Biopharmaceuticals. Teresa's extensive career began at Cipan, SA, spanning from October 1989 to October 2009 in various capacities. Academically, Teresa earned a BSc in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from Imperial College London, a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Glasgow, and an MBA in International Business from Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
