Kris Wouk

Writer at How-To Geek

Kris Wouk is a freelance tech writer and musician. While he's been writing about technology for more than 10 years, that's a drop in the bucket compared to the amount of time he has spent enamored with tech.

Kris has contributed to sites like Digital Trends, MakeUseOf, Android Authority, and Sound Guys. At MakeUseOf, he was Section Editor of the site's Mac section, while he covered audio/video technology and streaming services for Digital Trends.

Mostly self-taught, Kris started creating websites while still in grade school. From here he moved on to building PCs and running various Linux distributions on them. This led to shell scripting and dabbling in coding projects in languages from Python to C#.

A musician from an early age, Kris has been making music both with and without help from computers for most of his life. While Ableton Live is currently his main love, other digital audio workstations including Logic, Studio One, and Reaper are currently installed on his Mac.

When he's not writing about tech, he occasionally writes about games and geek culture for whatNerd.
