Joanne Curley

Joanne Curley is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Currently, Joanne serves as a Limited Partner at How Women Invest and an Independent Board Member at VistaGen Therapeutics Inc., while contributing to the Donor Fund Executive Team at Empowerment Through Action at Hillsdale High School. Joanne previously held the position of Chief Development Officer at Vera Therapeutics, where the development organization was expanded significantly, leading to a successful Phase 2 proof of concept study. Prior experience at Gilead Sciences included roles from Associate Director to Vice President of Project and Portfolio Management, overseeing significant product development milestones within the HIV Therapeutic Area. Joanne's earlier career involved key positions at Nektar Therapeutics and Inhale Therapeutic Systems, focused on oncology and inhalation formulations, respectively. Educational credentials include a PhD in Polymer Science & Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, post-doctoral fellowship at MIT, and a Bachelor of Science from Trinity College Dublin.
