Kristin O'Connor

Kristin O'Connor serves as the Division Chief of Comprehensive and Community Planning within the Department of Planning and Zoning at Howard County Government, a position held since 2015, after previously working as a Planning Supervisor in the same department. O'Connor has extensive experience in community planning, project coordination, and budget monitoring, actively facilitating citizen participation and representing the County in meetings with community groups. Prior roles include Planner Coordinator at M-NCCPC, Planner II at the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, Project Planner at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and Planner 1 in Prince George's County, Maryland. Kristin O'Connor holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science/American Government from Radford University and a Master of Urban Affairs and Planning from Virginia Tech.
