Andrew Lemire is a Senior Scientist at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, focusing on genome sequencing and annotation for non-model Danionella species and improving genomic resources for non-model insect and plant species. With extensive experience in genomic technologies and bioinformatics, Andrew previously led the development of a new core sequencing facility at Janelia Research Campus and contributed to various projects involving CRISPR tools and next-gen sequencing analysis. As an advisor for Basepaws, Andrew worked on advancing genomic assays for feline health. Prior roles include Field Applications Scientist at Ion Torrent Systems and Life Technologies, and Senior Scientist positions at Ambion and Psychiatric Genomics, specializing in gene expression analysis and assay development. Andrew holds a BS in Genetics from Texas A&M University.
