Ian Kennedy

Ian Kennedy serves as Board Director and Chair of the Finance Committee at the Academy of American Poets since June 2012, while also holding the position of Chair of the Investment Advisory Committee at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute since November 2010. Ian has been an Investment Committee Member at Oxford University since March 2009 and previously worked at Cambridge Associates from February 1989 to December 2009 as Director of Research and Managing Director, where responsibilities included determining research priorities for a global investment consulting firm and authoring various investment reports. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in English Language and Literature from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford.
