Sara Hawker is an experienced educator with a diverse background in elementary and special education. Currently serving as a First Grade Teacher at Howard-Suamico School District since August 2018, Sara previously held various teaching positions, including Elementary School Teacher at the same district from August 2012 to June 2016, Kindergarten Teacher at Woodland Community School District #50 from 2002 to 2006, and Special Education Teacher at Lake Forest School Districts 67 & 115 from 2000 to 2002. Additionally, Sara worked as a Special Education Teacher and Kindergarten Teacher at Bradley Elementary School District #61 from 1996 to 2000 and as a Special Education Teacher at Bourbonnais Elementary School District from 1995 to 1996. Sara holds a Bachelor's degree in Education/Teaching of Individuals in Elementary Special Education Programs from Northern Michigan University and an Associate's degree from Bay de Noc Community College.

Founded in 1961, The Howard-Suamico School District encompasses 53 square miles in one of the most popular and attractive areas of Wisconsin. Located in the villages of Howard and Suamico – just eight miles northwest of Green Bay’s historic Lambeau Field – the district serves approximately 6,000 students in eight schools and 10 community-based four-year-old kindergarten sites, making it the 26th-largest school district in the state of Wisconsin.
