Darien Pusey has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Darien started their career as an intern at the American Council On Renewable Energy in 2014. Darien also worked at Grant Associates Inc as a Staff Associate and at the University of Maryland, Campus Recreation Services as a Facility Supervisor. In 2015, they served as a USCAN and SCEN Program Intern at the US Climate Action Network. In 2016, they had roles as a CCAN Fellow at the Chesapeake Climate Action Network and a Program Assistant at the Department of Energy & Environment (DOEE). Darien then joined Field Strategies as a Campaign Administrative Specialist, where they contributed to the development and implementation of campaigns during the 2016 Presidential Election. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at the DC Government, starting as a Project Specialist in the Office of Public-Private Partnerships (OP3) and later as a Program Analyst in the Office of the City Administrator. Currently, Darien is employed at Howard University, where they have held positions including Special Assistant to the Senior Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer, Senior Project Manager, and Chief Project Delivery Officer.

Darien Pusey completed a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science and Policy at the University of Maryland from 2011 to 2015. Afterwards, from 2017 to 2019, Darien pursued a Master's Degree in Public Administration and Policy at American University.
