Ryan Piers

Ryan Piers is an experienced broadcaster and journalist with a diverse background in news and sports commentary. Currently serving as an anchor for Gray Television's Digital Network on Local News Live since December 2020, Piers hosts a daily show that covers local and national news. Additionally, Ryan has been a Play-By-Play Broadcaster for various sports at American University, Howard University, and Northern Illinois University since 2019, as well as holding freelance positions with the Big East Network and multiple colleges. Piers has also worked as a freelance writer for Alternative Press Magazine, covering pop-punk music. Prior experience includes serving as a news anchor for NBC News Radio and as an anchor/reporter with Alpha Media USA. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Communications from North Central College and a Master’s degree in Political Science from Eastern Illinois University.
