John Whitfield

John Whitfield has a diverse and extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the technology sector. John is currently the Head of Global Operations & Infrastructure and Group CISO at Howden Group Holdings, responsible for IT service delivery, infrastructure management, IT security, and cyber resilience. Prior to this, they worked as an Interim Director & Management Consultant at Asiertech Ltd, helping clients with technology strategy and operational service management. John also served as an Interim Programme Director at Vocalink, leading large application development programs and managing data analytics platforms. Earlier in their career, they held key positions at S&P Global Platts, GSK, SmithKline Beecham Corporation, IMC Insurance, Commercial Polymers Ltd, and State Electricity Commission of Victoria. With their extensive experience, they have developed skills in senior leadership, stakeholder management, service management, outsourcing, strategy development, cost control, and ITIL service management.

John Whitfield has a Bsc degree in Mathematics from the University of Strathclyde. In 2013, they attended Saïd Business School, University of Oxford for the CIO Academy program. John also holds an ITIL Foundation Certification in ITIL v3, which they obtained in 2010. Additionally, John has completed a course in Agile Project Management.
