Sophie Arup

Sophie Arup has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Sophie is currently the Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Howden Group Holdings since January 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at the same company from July 2018 to January 2020. Sophie also co-founded LUX LUZ | London in 2017.

In 2018, they worked as the ESG team - Charity of the Year Account Manager at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where they were responsible for developing and managing partnerships, fundraising, and preparing reports. Before that, Sophie was the Global Community Investment Executive at Clyde & Co from October 2016 to December 2017, where they focused on pro bono projects and diversity initiatives.

Sophie's earlier experiences include working as a Business Development Coordinator/Account Manager at The School for Social Entrepreneurs, a Programme Funding Officer at Oxfam, and an Intern in various organizations such as China Entrepreneur Magazine, Opportunity International, and La Commission Nationale des Droites de L’homme.

Sophie started their career at Nielsen in customer services. Throughout their career, Sophie has demonstrated proficiency in managing corporate social responsibility initiatives, fundraising, project management, and employee engagement.

Sophie Arup started their education journey in 2008 when they attended the University of Leeds. Sophie studied French and International Development and successfully completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in 2012. After a brief break, Sophie returned to pursue higher studies in 2015. Sophie enrolled at The Open University and pursued a Master of Laws degree in Business, Human Rights Law, and Corporate Social Responsibility. Sophie completed their studies in 2016, concluding their formal education.
