Amber Lee Carnahan

Amber Lee Carnahan is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in library and information science, web development, and technical assistance. Currently serving as an Audiovisual Digitization Technician at the University of Michigan, Amber is responsible for content inventorying, digitization of audiovisual materials, and quality control in archiving. Amber's experience includes roles as a Reference Assistant and Substitute Library Assistant at Howell Carnegie District Library, where responsibilities ranged from collection development to maintaining web accessibility. Additionally, Amber has freelanced as a web developer and editor, and held internships at Hope College and the Smithsonian's Anacostia Community Museum, focusing on metadata management and digital archiving. Amber earned a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from Wayne State University and holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in English - Creative Writing and Computer Science from Hope College.
