Katerina Despoina Zacharis

Katerina Despoina Zacharis is a scientist at Hoxton Farms since September 2022, previously a PhD student at the Wellcome - MRC Cambridge Stem Cell Institute from January 2019 to September 2022. Katerina served as a Cell and Developmental Biology Supervisor at the University of Cambridge from October 2019 to June 2022, overseeing undergraduate students. As president of the Cambridge University Cypriot Society from October 2018 to October 2019, Katerina organized events and led committee efforts. Katerina gained research experience as an undergraduate student researcher at the Department of Pathology, focusing on nuclear organization and fertility, and completed various internships in research settings, including the Wellcome Trust and Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens. Katerina holds a PhD in Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine and an MA in Biological Natural Sciences, both from the University of Cambridge, and an International Baccalaureate from Hellenic American Educational Foundation Athens College.
