Liliana Brito

Liliana Brito is a scientist at Hoxton Farms. Liliana has previously worked as a research scientist at Imperial College London, where they were responsible for investigating the molecular pathology of Streptococcus pneumoniae. Liliana also worked as a student intern at the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

Liliana Brito is currently a British Heart Foundation PhD student at Imperial College London, studying cardiovascular science. Liliana previously completed a Master in Research (MRes) in biomedical research at Imperial College London, focusing on cardiac regeneration. Liliana also has a Master of Science (MSc) in biotechnology from Instituto Superior Técnico, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in cellular and molecular biology from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. In addition to their academic credentials, Liliana has also completed certification courses in coaching skills for learner-centred conversations, research in animals, biopharmaceutical manufacturing, bacteria and chronic infections, genomic medicine, genetics and society, and public engagement and science policy.
