Tomoko Nakagawa

As Chief Sustainability Officer, I am responsible for formulating and implementing sustainability/ESG strategies for the entire group and strengthening engagement with stakeholders. I will utilize my experience in compliance, helplines, diversity projects, etc. to support the sustainable growth of the HOYA Group.

He graduated from Kenyon College with a degree in Psychology. He joined the company in 1990 and worked in the International Department, which was responsible for promoting the group's globalization, and in the Legal Department as a compliance officer, before becoming General Manager of the General Affairs Department in 2005. In 2008, he became General Manager of General Affairs and External Relations and Secretary Group Leader. In 2019, he established the HOYA Group's first ESG Committee, and in 2022, he was appointed Executive Officer, Chief Sustainability (ESG) Officer and Head of General Affairs.
