Leah Houston, MD

Leah Houston, MD has over a decade of experience in the healthcare industry. Leah began their career in 2004 as a Molecular Biologist at the Ordway Research Institute. In 2009, they became a Resident Physician at Albany Medical Center. From 2012 to 2015, they were an Emergency Physician at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Sutter Health, and Indian River Medical Center, respectively. In 2017, they became an Emergency Physician at Southampton Hospital Charity. In 2019, they founded and became the CEO of HPEC, a decentralized identity and credentialing application for US based physicians. In 2021, they founded and became the CEO of evercred. Leah is currently a Healthcare Transformer at StartUp Health.

Leah Houston, MD received their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Albany Medical College in 2009. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh in 2004.
