Gary Stead

Gary Stead is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in investment management and banking. Currently serving as an Executive Board Member for Asia at The Wharton School since July 2017, Gary also holds the position of Managing Director at HPS Investment Partners, LLC, where expertise lies in private credit and direct lending. Previous roles include Non Executive Board Member at InvoCare, Managing Director & Co-Head at Olympus Capital Asia, and founder of Shearwater Capital Group. Notable past positions at Merrill Lynch include Vice Chairman and Managing Director across various divisions in Australia and Asia. Gary holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School, and dual degrees in Commerce and Laws from UNSW.
