Michele Gaffo

Mr. Gaffo is a Managing Director and global co-head of the Insurance Solutions Group at HPS Investment Partners. Prior to joining HPS in 2021, Mr. Gaffo was Global Head of Insurance Coverage and Global Head of Alternative Investment sales specialist team at DWS. He was also on the Global Leadership Team and board director of DWS Investment UK. Prior to DWS, Mr. Gaffo was Chief Investment Officer at Poste Vita Insurance Group. Previously, Mr. Gaffo served as Global head of ALM and Strategic Asset Allocation at Allianz SE and Chief Investment Officer at Allianz Italy. Prior to Allianz, Mr. Gaffo was the Head of Quant Asset Allocation Team at Fineco. Mr. Gaffo began his career as a Quantitative analyst at Banca Intesa. Mr. Gaffo holds a Master’s degree in Statistics & Economics from Padua University and an Executive MBA from the European School of Management and Technology Berlin.
