Christer Wikner has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Christer is currently serving as the President & CEO of Metacon AB (publ) since June 2021. Prior to this, they co-founded and served as a Board Director at Turn Energy, a company focused on developing solar parks and the solar energy business in the Nordics. Christer also held the position of Board Director at Easy to Trust, where they contributed to the digitalization of sustainability processes. Additionally, Christer has worked as a Mentor at Stockholm School of Economics and as a Co-Founder at Valueguard Index Sweden, where they played a pivotal role in developing a financial housing market based on proprietary HOX index technology. Christer also actively participated as a Co-creator in the NRGY HUB Scaleup Program, a scaleup program for entrepreneurs in the energy sector. Furthermore, they served as a Business Coach at Create Business Incubator and held the position of Partner and Chairman at Sofia Wikner Estetik AB. Notably, they have a significant background as the Managing Director and Owner of United Strategy AB, specializing in facilitating business projects and transactions between technology-based companies in Scandinavia and high-growth markets. Lastly, they served as a Partner at Wedevia AB until March 2022.

Christer Wikner holds an extensive and diverse education history. Christer obtained a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry and Molecular Biology from Uppsala University, where they studied from 1988 to 1993. During this time, they also pursued a one-year program at SkyddC, earning a degree as an Army Lieutenant specializing in Defence against NBC warfare in 1992.

Building upon their undergraduate studies, Wikner pursued a Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics at Karolinska Institutet, which they completed between 1993 and 1997. This advanced education further enriched their knowledge in the field of life sciences.

To enhance their management and business skills, Wikner pursued an Executive MBA from Stockholm School of Economics between 2001 and 2003. This program provided him with a comprehensive understanding of general management practices.

Additionally, in 2002, Wikner sought a certification in International Business Management from The Wharton School as a means to broaden their knowledge and expertise in this area.

Furthermore, to bolster their professionalism and board leadership capabilities, in 2015, Wikner obtained a Certificate in Effective Directorship for Small & Medium Sized Enterprises from StyrelseAkademien.
