Kyle Sandberg

Project Engineer at HR Green

Kyle Sandberg has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Kyle started their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Notre Dame, where they focused on studying the impact of wastewater chemistry on denitrification and modeling biofilm growth. After that, they joined Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. as a Civil Engineering Intern, where they gained hands-on experience monitoring construction sites and testing soil compaction. Kyle then pursued a PhD at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, where they researched the effects of antibiotic use on microbial communities in wastewater treatment plants and aquatic environments. This involved gene sequencing, gene quantification, and working on various projects related to antibiotic resistance. Following their PhD, Kyle worked as an Engineering in Training at Commonwealth Engineers, Inc., where they further developed their engineering skills. Kyle is currently employed as a Project Engineer at HR Green, Inc.

Kyle Sandberg completed their education in the field of Civil Engineering. Kyle obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 2012. Kyle then pursued further studies at the University of Minnesota, where they earned both a Master's Degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Civil Engineering between 2012 and 2016. In terms of certifications, Kyle obtained the EIT (FE Civil) certification from NCEES in 2012 and the Professional Engineer (PE) certification from NCEES in July 2021.
