Robert Simmons has a diverse work experience, starting in 1976 when they served as a Forward Observer in the US Army until 1980. In 1988, they joined HRP Associates, Inc. as the Chief Hydrogeologist. Currently, they hold the position of President at The Northeastern Cave Conservancy, Inc. as of December 2017.
Robert Simmons attended Western Connecticut State University from 1981 to 1985, where they received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Earth Science-Geology. From 1985 to 1988, they pursued Graduate Studies in Hydrogeology at Ohio University.
