Dan Doherty

VP, North American Operations at HS Brands International

Dan Doherty is currently the VP of North American Operations at HS Brands International. Prior to this, they were the Director of Retail Optimization at CVS Health from April 2020 to May 2022. In this role, they were responsible for maximizing sales and profits of existing categories through service offering expansion and new business opportunities. Dan also negotiated the Copier RFP, which resulted in over $40 million in cost savings over 6 years.

Before their time at CVS Health, Doherty spent 28 years at Staples Stores, where they ultimately became the Senior Director of Sales, Operations and Customer Experience. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing the sales and operations plan for Staples' US Retail Copy & Print Business. This included creating and leading a team of 22 Regional Sales Managers responsible for growing sales, profit, and all KPIs in 500+ top-volume stores. Under Doherty's leadership, the team grew sales by 8%, profit by 10%, and outperformed the rest of the chain on all KPIs. Doherty also created a Customer Development sales program for US Retail Print & Marketing, which drove over $6 million in incremental sales and $4 million in incremental profit in its first year.

Dan Doherty's educational background is in marketing and management, which they studied at Bentley University. Dan also has a certification in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from the George Group.
