Shona Benton has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Shona started their career at sportscotland as a Project Manager, where they designed and managed a program to integrate funding processes. Shona then moved on to NHS National Services Scotland as the eMedical Records Programme Manager, where they developed strategies for patient records exchange. Following that, Shona worked at Siloam Hospitals Group in Indonesia as a Consultant, where they oversaw the implementation of a Hospital Information System. Shona then joined the Commonwealth Games Federation as a Senior Consultant, where they led successful knowledge management and project planning initiatives. Shona also worked as the Director of benton strategy solutions, specializing in transformation consulting. Currently, they hold positions at HS2 (High Speed Two) Ltd as the Head of Business Delivery and Development, leading a range of services to enhance operational efficiency, and as the Head of PMO and Systems (Interim), supporting transformation initiatives. Shona has a strong background in project management, strategic planning, and resource optimization.

Shona Benton's education history includes a Master of Science (MSc with Merit) in International Event Management from Leeds Beckett University, obtained from 2009 to 2014. Shona also completed a PRINCE2 Practitioner certification in Project Management from OGC (QA training) in 2006.
