Sonya Iovieno

Sonya Iovieno is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in banking and advisory roles. Currently serving as the Head of Venture & Growth at HSBC Innovation Banking, Sonya Iovieno leads initiatives to support high-growth VC-backed businesses. In parallel, Sonya Iovieno sits on the Local Advisory Board for Career Ready in Southwark, focusing on creating career opportunities for socioeconomically disadvantaged students. Previously, as Head of Venture & Growth Banking at Silicon Valley Bank, Sonya Iovieno expanded business operations across Europe, and at Lloyds Bank, established a new debt origination team. Additionally, Sonya Iovieno held leadership positions at Bank of Ireland, including Head of Retail & Leisure and Director of Telecoms & Technology, before beginning a career at AIB, where Sonya Iovieno contributed to the establishment of the Corporate Bank in London. Sonya Iovieno holds a BA in Economics and French from the University of Galway.
